As Needed Volunteer Opportunities

WITH THE FOLLOWING OPPORTUNITIES, VOLUNTEERS ARE NOTIFIED VIA EMAIL WHEN WE HAVE A NEED FOR OFFICE HELP, DATA ENTRY, THANK YOU NOTES, YARD WORK OR TRANSPORT.  THESE OPPORTUNTIES ARE VERY FLEXIBLE.

Data Entry - Volunteers are trained to do various forms of data entry from donations to volunteer applications.  Data entry does need to be done on-site at the shelter and is flexible weekday hours.  Volunteers are contacted via email on an as needed basic.  To get on our email list, please contact Lilly at wendy@ebhs.org and put “ADD TO EBHS DATA ENTRY LIST”!  You will then receive postings as we need help.

Office Help - Volunteers are needed to do various tasks such as stuffing envelopes, folding and other misc office tasks.  Office work does need to be done on-site at the shelter and is flexible weekday hours.  Volunteers are contacted via email on an as needed basic.  To get on our email list, please contact Lilly at wendy@ebhs.org  and put “ADD TO EBHS OFFICE HELP LIST”!  You will then receive postings as we need help.

Thank You Note Writers - We are always looking for help writing and mailing thank you notes following our larger direct mail fundraising efforts.  All materials will be provided and this activity can be done at home or at the shelter.   To get on our email list, please contact Lilly at wendy@ebhs.org  and put “ADD TO EBHS THANK YOU NOTE LIST”!  You will then receive postings as we need help.

Errands/Transport  - We are always looking for volunteers to run errands for us to a variety of places such as the office supply store, grocery store, Farm & Fleet, etc. or to other nearby shelters or vet appointments.  To get on our email list, please contact Lilly at wendy@ebhs.org  and put “ADD TO EBHS ERRAND/TRANSPORT LIST”!  You will then receive postings as we need help.

Landscaping & Yard Work  - Volunteers are needed to help maintain the outside grounds of the shelter including mowing, landscaping, and gardening.  If you have a green thumb, we’d love to have you help us!  This work is generally seasonal and often done in teams or small groups.  To get on our email list, please contact Lilly at wendy@ebhs.org  and put “ADD TO EBHS LANDSCAPING/YARD WORK LIST”!  You will then receive postings as we need help.
