CHILDREN’S PARTIES
Our parties are for children 6-12 years of age who love animals.
We currently require approximately 8 weeks notice to book a children’s birthday party. Please note we have a capacity of 15 total children maximum.
The 2-hour birthday bash includes:
- Animal-themed games and activities
- Enrichment craft for the shelter animals and/or to take home
- Visit with one or more of our popular Certified Therapy Dogs
- Opportunity to meet a cat, kitten, or small animal (per availability)
- Party facilitated by a Certified Humane Educator
- Commemorative birthday t-shirt for the birthday child
- LOTS OF FUN!
Decorating and Set-Up
Parents may arrive up to 30 minutes prior for set up. Decorating can be accommodated and staff can help assist. The meeting space will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after the party by our staff.
Food/Beverages/Birthday Treats
Food, beverages, and treats may be brought in. We kindly ask that the birthday parent pass out/serve the refreshments. EBHS staff will gladly assist with clean up.
Other Important Info
A parent/guardian must be in attendance for the duration of the party. Because we are a smaller shelter, we can accommodate up to 15 children and 18 total people, including children and adults. Offsite Birthday Parties (available May – October)
We currently require a minimum of 6-8 weeks’ notice to book an offsite children’s birthday party.
Looking for Elmbrook Humane Society (EBHS) to join your child’s birthday party at your place? Our offsite birthday party option is guaranteed to be doggone fun!
This 1-hour birthday bash includes:
- Our party van, decked with birthday balloons and streamers
- Animal-themed games
- Visit with one or more of our popular Certified Therapy Dogs
- Party facilitated by a Certified Humane Educator
- Goody bags for the children
- Commemorative birthday t-shirt for the birthday child
- LOTS OF FUN
The location of the party must be within 15 miles of EBHS. The party must be held at a park location site or reserved space such as condominium ‘party room.’ (We are not able to visit a private residence or go inside a residence due to inclement weather.) The EBHS van will need an accessible parking space that is in close proximity to the party.
Cost and How to Register
A Birthday Party is a great opportunity to support our organization while having a special event for your child to remember! To book your party, please complete our Birthday Party Application. Please note: applications should be submitted at least six to eight weeks in advance.
