YOUTH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

NOTE - We are currently focusing on Adult Volunteers due to shelter and staffing needs - there will be limited opportunities for youths until further notice.

Our youth volunteers add a special flair to the shelter. Students, age 15 and up learn many aspects of animal care while participating in a variety of shelter activities. Training is offered in the care of small animals, cats, dogs, and office support. Students benefit from the opportunity to meet other motivated young people while developing good work habits and communication skills.  WE DO WORK WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE VOLUNTEERS.

Interested students, 10-14 years of age, can volunteer with a parent. These parent-student teams work with the small animals, cats and dogs doing a variety of chores including cleaning, grooming and socializing.
