YOUTH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We have a program for young people
(10-14 years old) to volunteer at the shelter, accompanied by a
parent/guardian.
These opportunities require a minimum of one-hour
per week and a 6-month commitment.
Parent and youth should be scheduled at a regular
time each week to help support the shelter by doing a specific task
such as laundry, dishes, sorting donations, cleaning the animal rooms
or re-feeding the animals. These daily tasks are crucial to the
well being of the shelter animals at EBHS.
After approximately 45 minutes of work, the team may
socialize with cats and kittens.
Parent/youth teams, once trained, can participate in
special event fundraisers, parade, adopt-a-thons and other special
one-time events.
Youth and parents interested in volunteering, please
complete the volunteer application.
If we have an opening that matches your
availability, you will be contacted for an orientation and training.
NOTE: Youth volunteer MUST be accompanied by a
parent/guardian at all times.
WE DO WORK WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE
VOLUNTEERS.
